Job summary

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Site Manager - Wastewater in the North West region to take ownership of 2–3 live wastewater projects with potential to oversee larger packages as the programme grows.

You will coordinate site teams and subcontractors, manage programme delivery and ensure drainage, connections and civils works are completed safely and efficiently. This role requires on-site leadership, decisive decision-making and a proactive, quality-driven approach to delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven water industry experience, ideally wastewater.
• Strong drainage and connections experience.
• SMSTS and First Aid qualifications.
• Experience managing multiple sites, gangs and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

Site Manager - Wastewater
North West
Contract - Outside IR35/ CIS

I'm working with a well-established contractor with a growing workload across the United Utilities region. They are delivering wastewater schemes across region and have a significant pipeline of new work coming through.

They're now looking for an experienced Site Manager to take ownership of multiple wastewater projects and become a key part of the delivery team. This isn't a role where you'll be boxed into one small scheme - you'll initially manage 2-3 projects, with the opportunity to oversee larger packages and multiple gangs as the programme grows.
The role will involve coordinating site teams and subcontractors, managing programme and delivery, and ensuring drainage, connections and associated civils works are completed safely and efficiently. You'll be trusted to run your own workload and make decisions on site, while taking genuine pressure off the wider management team.
