Job summary

Wastewater Site Supervisor role based in Worcester, on a 4-6 month project. You will supervise gangs and subcontractors on site, ensuring safety, productivity and programme adherence, with a hands-on leadership style.

The ideal candidate will have SSSTS/SMSTS, CSCS Gold, and a strong background in wastewater or similar civils. You will manage day-to-day delivery, safety, RAMS compliance and liaise with engineers to keep work moving.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Site Supervisor on civil or wastewater projects.
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification required.
• Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) and CSCS (gold) preferred.
• 3-day First Aid at Work required.
• Good health and safety knowledge and leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site gangs and subcontractors to deliver works safely and to programme.
• Provide hands-on supervision and act as a visible on-site presence.
• Monitor progress, manage labour, plant and materials to keep works moving.
• Ensure works comply with RAMS and site requirements.
• Coordinate with site management and engineers on trades and activities.
• Report issues to Site Manager/Project Manager and support delivery of temporary works.

Wastewater Site Supervisor

Location: Worcester

Duration: 4-6 months

Start date: Immediate

We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to join our team on a wastewater project.

This is a 'boots-on-the-ground role' for someone who enjoys being out on site, leading from the front and making sure gangs are working safely, efficiently and productively. You won't be sat in the office all day - we need someone who is visible, proactive and comfortable managing the day-to-day delivery of works.

The Role

As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing gangs and subcontractors on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, productively and to the required standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supervising and coordinating site gangs and subcontractors.
• Making sure teams are working productively and to programme.
• Being a visible presence on site and providing hands-on support to the workforce.
• Ensuring works are carried out safely and in line with RAMS and site requirements.
• Monitoring progress and reporting any issues to the Site Manager/Project Manager.
• Coordinating labour, plant and materials to keep works moving.
• Supporting the delivery of temporary works and ensuring appropriate controls are followed.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and workmanship.
• Liaising with site management, engineers and other trades to coordinate activities.

About You

We're looking for a practical, experienced Supervisor with a strong site-based background, ideally within the wastewater sector.

Essential:

• Relevant experience as a Site Supervisor.
• SSSTS or SMSTS.
• Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS)
• CSCS (gold ideally)
• 3-day First Aid at Work
• Good understanding of site health & safety and construction procedures.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate gangs.

Ideally:

• Previous wastewater experience.
• Experience within gas infrastructure will also be considered.
• M&E or civils experience would be advantageous.
