Job summary

Bridges Electrical Engineers seeks an experienced Site Manager to lead M&E installations on our South West Water frameworks in Taunton, within the South West Delivery Team. You will ensure CDM compliance, manage site teams, and uphold safety and quality across civil/utilities projects.

With a 40-hour week and a company van provided, you will coach electricians and apprentices, maintain client relationships, and promote Bridges values.

Qualifications

• M&E site management experience essential.
• Civil/utilities sector experience required.
• Gold CSCS card and SMSTS required.
• Appropriate trade qualification.

Responsibilities

• Manage M&E installations in accordance with Bridges Health & Safety Rules and standards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation on site.
• Maintain high installation quality per project quality plans and ITPs.
• Promote STAR dynamic risk assessment.
• Coach electricians, improvers/mates, and apprentices.
• Represent Bridges professionally with clients and peers.

Job description

Role Purpose

This role is based within our South West Delivery Team who cover our South West Water and Wessex Water frameworks,, Managing water industry construction and engineering projects - ensuring full CDM compliance across our sites.

The Role

Contracted to 40hrs per week Monday to Friday.
A company van will be provided.

• To be responsible for managing M&E installations in accordance with Bridges Health & Safety Rules and Essential Standards and industry regulations.
• Ensure that all Health and Safety legislation and regulations are adhered to by the site teams.
• Ensure that all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the project’s quality plan and inspection and test plans.
• To follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment.
• To coach and mentor Electricians, Electrical Improvers/Mates and Apprentices.
• Promote and demonstrate the Bridges’ values when dealing with peers, staff, customers, and clients.
• Promote positive health and wellbeing amongst peers.
• To act in a professional manner and be an ambassador for Bridges, supporting the business goals and maintaining the company’s positive reputation.

Essential:

• Experience in managing M&E sites.
• Experience in a civil / utilities environment.
• Gold Card CSCS
• SMSTS
• Appropriate trade certificate/qualification.
• Good client management and communication skills

Desirable:

• Black Card CSCS
• Water industry experience
• EUSR
• IPAF, PASMA, confined space
