Where will you be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

This role will be within our Water and wastewater capital project delivery. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?

As our Site Manager, you'll be working on our Thames Water Capital Delivery Framework covering the Thames Valley region. You'll be responsible for carrying out the safe, efficient, and on-time delivery of water and wastewater schemes in Thames Valley.

Projects will range in size, complexity, and value across this framework. They include shafts construction, pumping stations, trunk mains cross country pipelines, deep drainage, de-watering, directional drilling, tunnelling, and MEICA works.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project responsibility for the safe, efficient delivery of projects.
  2. Lead and promote a safe zero harm culture and promote industry-leading behavioural culture.
  3. Follow Morrison Water Services Business Management Systems and processes to ensure right first-time delivery in a quality-controlled environment.
  4. Write RAMS, briefings, TBTs, NCRs, control permits, and temporary works on site.
  5. Manage and support Engineers, Supervisors, customers, and the general public impacted by our works.
  6. Manage labour, plant, and materials.
  7. Develop and deliver Project Management Plans including environment, quality, safety, health, and wellbeing.
  8. Manage specialist Subcontractors.
  9. Follow and promote company initiatives and ensure we deliver safe, on-time, efficient projects that delight our clients and the customers.
  10. Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks, and coaching of staff in construction techniques, ensuring appropriate use of PPE.
  11. Coordinate document control and design management for your project.
  12. Ensure the timely close out of actions arising from internal and external audits.
  13. Carry out SHE 6 Audits.
  14. Reporting safety observations.
  15. Obtain all necessary permits and approvals for construction activities. Ensure compliance with MWS, Client, regulatory, and industry standards.
  16. Prepare and present regular reports on project status, including progress, challenges, and any changes to scope or budget, to senior management and stakeholders.
  17. Ensure all mandatory training is complete and kept up to date to the matrix for your role.

What you'll bring:

  • Do you have a degree/HND/HNC or equivalent in construction management or engineering?
  • Have you gained experience of water or wastewater infrastructure?
  • Can you control costs and value management?
  • Do you have experience in schedule management?
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS Black card
  • Health and Safety training or recognised certification such as NEBOSH or similar.
  • Do you have an understanding of Temporary Works requirements?
