NIGHT SHIFTS

On behalf of my client, I am actively recruiting for a Site Manager to work on a project in Stockport. My client is a multidisciplinary company delivering high-end projects across the UK. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the post holder will be responsible for overseeing all contractors on site.

Responsibilities

1. Coordinate and control the project from the design stage through to completion and handover to the client.
2. Manage unforeseen delays promptly.
3. Regularly monitor and liaise with the Contracts Manager on the Master Programme and develop stage/section programmes as needed.
4. Manage daily site operations to ensure project completion within time, budget, and quality constraints.
5. Organise site facilities and logistics efficiently, ensuring all equipment is fit for purpose and operated by trained staff.
6. Requisition materials, oversee deliveries, and ensure timely procurement aligned with the construction programme.
7. Ensure workmanship and materials meet specifications, building regulations, health and safety legislation, and quality standards.
8. Ensure site team and subcontractors adhere to operational standards.
9. Maintain close communication with the Contracts Manager and Contract Surveyor regarding cost control, waste management, variations, and instructions.
10. Undertake relevant training and development activities as required.

Ideal Candidate

• Adaptable and willing to work weekends.
• Good communication skills.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Minimum SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS certifications.
• Practical experience in shopfitting projects, comfortable reading multidisciplinary drawings.
• Ability to set up and assign work tasks.
