Job summary

ITS Building People are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager on behalf of ITS Construction Professionals South LTD for a cladding and facades project in Brighton. You will oversee day-to-day site operations, coordinate trades, and ensure delivery safely, on time and to the specified quality.

This permanent site-based role offers autonomy, progression within a growing business, and close collaboration with clients, design teams and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience as Site Manager in cladding/facades sector.
• Experience delivering a facades project from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of facade systems (rainscreen, curtain walling, ACM).
• Familiar with fire safety/building safety regs for facades.
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
• Understanding construction programmes and project delivery.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, and scopes of work.
• Strong health and safety/CDM knowledge.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• CSCS Black/Gold card and SMSTS.
• First Aid at Work would be advantageous.
• Based in or commuting to Brighton daily.

The Role & About the Client:

ITS Building People are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager on behalf of an established cladding and facades specialist contractor, working on a project based in Brighton. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring the cladding/facades installation is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards from mobilisation through to completion. This is a site-based role offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join a specialist contractor and take full responsibility for the successful delivery of a facades project in Brighton, working closely with the client, design team, subcontractors and site operatives.

Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Managing the day-to-day running of the site for a cladding/facades installation project in Brighton.
• Taking responsibility for the successful delivery of the project from mobilisation through to completion.
• Planning and coordinating site activities to ensure works remain on programme.
• Managing subcontractors, trades and site operatives.
• Coordinating deliveries, materials and site logistics.
• Reading and working from drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
• Monitoring workmanship and ensuring the project is completed to the required quality standards.
• Carrying out regular site inspections and monitoring progress.
• Liaising with the client, consultants, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
• Attending site and project meetings where required.
• Identifying potential issues and resolving problems efficiently on site.
• Monitoring project progress against the agreed programme.
• Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with current health and safety and CDM requirements, including current fire safety/building safety regulations relevant to facades.
• Maintaining site records, reports and relevant project documentation.
• Monitoring subcontractor performance and ensuring works are completed in line with agreed requirements.
• Assisting with variations, additional works and changes to scope.
• Coordinating snagging, defects and outstanding works through to completion.
• Supporting the handover of the completed project, including O&M documentation.
• Providing regular progress updates to senior management.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience working as a Site Manager within the cladding, facades or wider building envelope/rainscreen sector.
• Proven experience managing a facades project from start to completion.
• Strong knowledge of facade systems (e.g. rainscreen, curtain walling, render, ACM/composite panels).
• Good understanding of current fire safety and building safety regulations as they apply to facades.
• Experience managing subcontractors, trades and site teams.
• Good understanding of construction programmes and project delivery.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
• Strong understanding of health and safety and CDM requirements.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive approach to managing site issues and finding practical solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to liaise confidently with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Relevant Site Management qualifications and CSCS card (Black/Gold).
• SMSTS is essential.
• First Aid at Work and other relevant site qualifications would be advantageous.
• Based in or able to commute to Brighton on a daily basis.
