Job summary

Taylor Woodrow is recruiting two experienced Site Managers to deliver a major infrastructure scheme for Southend City Council. You will lead day-to-day site operations on a fast-paced civil engineering project, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery.

Based on multi-site coordination, you will drive planning, programming and on-site commercial forecasting while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on infrastructure, highways, or major civils projects.
• Strong knowledge of earthworks, drainage, and general civil engineering.
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations across multiple live projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Support project planning, programming, and delivery strategy alongside the wider team.
• Collaborate with the commercial team on cost estimates, forecasting, and subcontractor management.
• Lead and coordinate all on-site activities, ensuring strict compliance with HSEQ standards.
• Contribute to the ECI process, including buildability reviews and risk assessments.
• Engage with the client, stakeholders, and supply chain to maintain strong working relationships.
• Monitor progress, manage subcontractors, and maintain accurate site records.
