Job summary

Equans is seeking a Site Manager to join our Seaham team on a permanent basis. This full-time role expects a proactive leader to coordinate repairs and maintenance, supervise the site team with the Delivery Manager, and ensure KPIs and regulatory compliance are met.

You will maintain strong client relations, manage daily repairs, and escalate issues when needed. A robust background in construction methods and safety qualifications is essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• NVQ4 or equivalent maintenance qualification required.
• SMSTS or CSCS card and health & safety qualifications are expected.
• First Aid certification is required along with relevant health and safety knowledge.
• Proven experience supervising or managing a site within construction.
• Strong leadership and ability to coordinate subcontractors and operatives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver repairs and maintenance successfully.
• Oversee the site team in collaboration with the Delivery Manager.
• Monitor daily repairs, order materials, track KPI compliance.
• Conduct inspections to ensure specifications and standards.
• Maintain strong client/stakeholder relationships and clear communication.
• Address concerns promptly and escalate issues when needed.
• Make decisions to keep repairs on track and manage multiple jobs.

Job description

Equans is looking for a Site Manager to join our team in Seaham on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week.

What will you deliver?

• Responsible for the coordination and successful delivery of repairs and maintenance
• This role involves overseeing the site team with conjunction with the Delivery Manager
• The Site Manager is accountable for monitoring daily repairs for further works, including ordering materials, monitoring progress of repairs ensuring that KPIs are met in compliance with all relevant regulations
• Conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards
• Maintain strong relationships with client other stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the repairs process
• Address any concerns or requests promptly
• Make decisions to keep repairs on track, escalating issues to the delivery manager when necessary
• The role of a Site Manager involves advanced problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple repairs simultaneously
• Good understanding of repairs and maintenance contract, technical expertise, and the ability to measure for component installation, window, doors, glazing kitchens and bathrooms

Who are we looking for?

• NVQ4 or equivalent qualification in maintenance
• Professional certifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS card)
• First Aid certification and relevant health and safety qualifications
• Proven experience in a site supervisor or manager role within the construction industry
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices
• Excellent leadership skills, with experience in managing subcontractors and site operatives
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with experience in resolving complex on-site issues
