Job summary

Equans UK & Ireland is seeking a Lifecycle Project Site Supervisor to join the team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham on a permanent, full-time basis. The role is 37.5 hours per week with a competitive salary and benefits package.

You will oversee capital works and lifecycle projects, support the project manager, supervise subcontractors, ensure efficient resource use and maintain rigorous H&S and quality controls. DBS Basic check is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience of construction areas and knowledge of building legislation and projects.
  • Strong ICT skills.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Experience of managing specialist sub-contractor supply chains.
  • Excellent understanding of SHEQ practices.
  • Up to date Health and Safety legislation knowledge.
  • Microsoft Office or IT qualification is desirable (Desirable).
  • DBS Basic check ability is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the site delivery of capital works and lifecycle projects as part of the project delivery team at the QEH.
  • Support the project manager to manage site H&S, site management, snagging and handover, including monitoring a team of Trade Operatives and Sub-Contractors.
  • Supervise sub-contractors delivering a wide range of project works.
  • Ensure efficient use of resources and that job planning, appointments, materials, plant and equipment are optimised.
  • Manage health & safety on all projects and project completion, snagging and handover.
  • Maintain Quality Control through monitoring and auditing.
  • Liaise with the client formally and informally.
  • Apply for licences and permits as required.

Job description

Equans is looking for a Lifecycle Project Site Supervisor to join our team based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

What will you deliver?
  • Manage the site delivery of capital works and lifecycle projects as part of the project delivery team at the QEH
  • Supporting the project manager to manage site H&S, site management, snagging and hangover of every project, as required, including the monitoring of a team of Trade Operatives and Sub-Contractors
  • Responsible for the supervision of sub-contractors delivering a wide range of project works
  • Responsible for the efficient use of resources and ensuring that, job planning, appointments, materials, plant and equipment are effectively utilised and continuously improved in accordance with service delivery targets
  • Responsible for the management of health & safety on all projects and the necessary completion, snagging and handover of all projects
  • Manage Quality Control through a structured monitoring process and auditing
  • Liaison with the client on both a formal and informal basis
  • Application for all licences, permits etc. and ensuring they are in place to execute the works correctly

Who are you?
