Fawkes and Reece, working with a well-established Housebuilder, is recruiting an experienced Site Manager to lead a 100-unit traditional residential development in Preston.
You will oversee day-to-day site management, ensure safety and quality, coordinate subcontractors, and drive delivery from foundations to handover, with a strong emphasis on programme and compliance.
Fawkes and Reece are working with a well-established Housebuilder to recruit an experienced Site Manager to support on a 100-unit traditional residential development in Preston on an ongoing basis.
You will play a key role within the project, with responsibility for the day-to-day management and overall delivery of the development. You must ensure plots are progressed safely, efficiently and in accordance with the time frame set, quality, and company spec.
Previous experience delivering traditional-build housing is non-negotiable for this role. You must have a strong understanding of traditional housebuilding methods, construction progression, and the management of multiple plots through to completion and handover. Ability to manage programmes from foundations to handover stage is essential to ensure the smooth running of the overall development and customer satisfaction.
You will be expected to coordinate subcontractors, labour, materials, and plant to ensure the development progresses in line with agreed time frame. You will monitor construction quality, workmanship, and health & safety standards, while ensuring all works are completed to the required spec.
The role will involve managing the full traditional housebuilding process, including foundations, brickwork, roofing, first and second fix, external works, finishing works and handover. Experience working well within a team is necessary to ensure you are confident collaborating with the project team to identify and resolve any issues affecting programme, quality or delivery of each plot.
You will need to be confident in completing full site and project documentation, ensuring all paperwork is done accurately and up to date to meet compliance requirements. This will include health & safety documentation, inspection records, quality assurance checks, material and subcontractor records, and progress reporting. You will need to balance a fully compliant and well-documented build process from start to finish.
