Job summary

Caval is seeking a Site Manager for a high-end refurbishment project in Manchester City Centre. You will lead the day-to-day site operations, coordinate subcontractors and deliveries, and ensure compliance with RAMS, Health & Safety, and quality standards.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will drive progress against the programme, conduct inductions, and maintain comprehensive site records across seven luxury apartments.

Qualifications

• Fit Out & Refurbishment experience, ideally within high-end residential projects.
• Trade background.
• SMSTS.
• First Aid at Work.
• CSCS Managers Card.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and site management.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to and working closely with the Contracts Manager.
• Procore / Breadcrumb Experience.
• Lead the day-to-day running of a high-end refurbishment project consisting of 7 luxury apartments in Manchester City Centre.
• Coordinate subcontractors, labour, materials and deliveries to maintain the project programme.
• Carry out site inductions and ensure all operatives comply with Health & Safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Review RAMS and issue permits where required.
• Monitor progress against the construction programme and assist with short-term and weekly look-ahead planning.
• Maintain high-quality standards throughout all aspects of the refurbishment.
• Prepare and maintain site documentation, including daily records, work orders, purchase orders and RFIs.
• Coordinate inspections, handovers and sign-offs to ensure allocated areas are completed to the required standard.
• Maintain clear communication with the project team and report progress, issues and programme risks.
