Job summary

Equans is seeking a Site Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at the Lydney site in the Forest of Dean. You will ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements, health and safety procedures, and industry standards.

The role requires strong communication, organisation, and leadership, with the ability to coordinate site activities and maintain high standards throughout the project.

Qualifications

  • Prev. experience as Site Manager.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • SMSTS qualification.
  • First Aid qualification.
  • Fire Marshall qualification/awareness.
  • Asbestos Awareness.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Access to own vehicle.
  • Strong health and safety knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and leadership.
  • Ability to manage site activities independently.
  • Right to Work documentation.

£300 CIS per day

Temporary - Till March 2027

LOCATION

Lydney, Forest of Dean

WORKING HOURS

Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 (40 hours per week)

THE ROLE

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations at a Two Rivers site, based out of the Lydney site in the Forest of Dean.

You will oversee site activities, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements, health and safety procedures, and relevant industry standards. The role will require strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate site activities and maintain high standards throughout the project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and oversee day-to-day site operations.
  • Coordinate site activities to ensure works are completed efficiently and to the required standards.
  • Supervise site personnel and subcontractors as required.
  • Ensure all site activities comply with health and safety requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of site housekeeping and organisation.
  • Monitor progress and ensure ongoing works are managed effectively.
  • Liaise with colleagues, contractors, and other relevant parties to ensure smooth delivery of works.
  • Identify and report any issues, hazards, defects, or delays promptly.
  • Ensure relevant site documentation and records are maintained accurately.
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture across the site.
  • Work independently while effectively managing site requirements and priorities.
HEALTH, SAFETY & COMPLIANCE
  • Follow all company health and safety procedures and safe systems of work.
  • Ensure compliance with site-specific risk assessments and method statements.
  • Maintain a safe and professional working environment.
  • Ensure all site personnel follow relevant health and safety requirements.
  • Report hazards, incidents, defects, and safety concerns promptly.
  • Act as Fire Marshall when required.
  • Comply with asbestos awareness and other relevant site safety requirements.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Previous experience working as a Site Manager.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • SMSTS qualification.
  • Valid First Aid qualification.
  • Fire Marshall qualification/awareness.
  • Asbestos Awareness.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Access to and use of own vehicle.
  • Strong understanding of site health and safety requirements.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to organise and manage site activities effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Right to Work documentation.
