My client, one of the largest privately owned civil engineering and infrastructure specialists in the UK with over 40 years of experience, is looking for a Site Manager to join their team. The company works across sectors including Water, Transport, Built Environment, and Energy.

Location: South East

Salary: £55k - £65k

Responsibilities

• Manage construction sites to ensure project delivery aligns with customer objectives, maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact, and cost control.
• Work closely with Contracts Managers, Engineers, and Quantity Surveyors to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Lead teams of Sub Agents, Engineers, and Foremen to deliver work safely, without environmental incidents, and to the specified quality.
• Develop and implement Project Plans, RAMS, ITP, and Waste Management Plans in accordance with company procedures.
• Maximize the commercial performance of projects.
• Manage project construction programmes and produce two-week look-aheads.
• Coordinate procurement schedules and ensure resource availability.

Ideal Candidate

• Knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme, Risk Management, and cost control including forecasting and reporting.
• Good understanding of civil engineering specifications and testing regimes.
• Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Mandatory CSCS card.
• IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS certification.
• Temporary Works Coordinator qualification.
• Confined Space Training.
