Carpentry Site Manager Required in West London

GVR Solutions are currently working alongside an existing client of ours, a specialist Carpentry and Joinery contractor based in Kent. They are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to join their well-established team.

They have recently secured three new projects, one of which is in West London. The West London project involves the refurbishment of an old hospital building, so refurbishment experience is essential.

Responsibilities of the Carpentry Site Manager:

1. Oversee the day-to-day running of the site
2. Control and implement health and safety on site
3. Manage quality control and progressive handovers of installation
4. Co-ordinate site activities in line with programme sequence
5. Schedule materials and deliveries in adequate time
6. Attend progress meetings
7. Oversee projects from start through to completion, ensuring works are completed on time
8. Manage record keeping for all contract-related correspondence and documentation
9. Provide contract-related issue resolution, both internally and externally

Requirements for the Carpentry Site Manager:

1. Experience as a Site Manager
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Carpentry and Joinery sector
3. Ability to work to programmes and deadlines, with flexibility to adapt to change
4. Great attention to detail
5. CSCS Card
6. SMSTS card holder
7. Demonstrate negotiation and problem-solving skills
8. Excellent verbal communication skills
