Responsibilities

  • Ensure the school site is safe, secure, and well-maintained at all times.
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance, keeping buildings and grounds in excellent condition.
  • Supervise cleaning staff and maintain high standards of cleanliness across the school.
  • Liaise with contractors, oversee works, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and take proactive steps to prevent issues.
  • Support school lettings and contribute to creating a welcoming environment for all.

Job description

Hours: 34.5 hoursper week, 43 weeks per year

Mornings: Mondayto Friday; 7.00am - 10.30am

Afternoons:Monday to Thursday; 3.00pm - 6.30pm

and Friday 3.00pm - 6.00pm (hours outside of this on occasion for schoolevents such as parents evening, performances and Fairs)

From overseeing maintenanceand repairs to managing cleaning standards and ensuring the security of thepremises, you’ll take pride in creating an environment where learning canflourish. This is a hands-on, varied role that requires practical skills,strong organisation, and a proactive approach every day brings a new challengeand the chance to make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the school site is safe, secure, and well-maintained at all times.
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance, keeping buildings and grounds in excellentcondition.
  • Supervise cleaning staff and maintain high standards of cleanliness acrossthe school. Weekly cleaning of the hall and additional Pod area of the school.
  • Liaise with contractors, oversee works, and ensure compliance with health andsafety regulations.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and take proactive steps to prevent issues.
  • Support school lettings and contribute to creating a welcoming environmentfor all.
