Job summary

Magistrates Court refurbishment project in Huntingdon (PE29) is recruiting an experienced Site Manager to supervise night shifts (7:00pm–4:00am) at a live government building. You will oversee all night-time activities, ensure works are conducted safely, on programme, and to a high standard while keeping daytime operations uninterrupted.

Essential requirements include SMSTS, First Aid at Work, a DBS certificate, a BPSS clearance, own laptop, full PPE, and proven experience managing refurbishment

Qualifications

• Capacity to coordinate subcontractors and maintain program.
• Strong administration, reporting and safety oversight required.
• Ability to deliver RAMS and site inductions.

Site Manager (Nights) - Refurbishment Project

Huntingdon, PE29
Magistrates Court (Government Building)
Start Date: 14th September
Duration: 6 Weeks
Rate: £370 - £400 per shift (DOE)
Shift Pattern: 7:00pm - 4:00am

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a refurbishment project within a live Government building (Magistrates Court) in Huntingdon (PE29).

This role will involve managing all night shift activities, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to a high standard, while maintaining the functionality of the building for daytime operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day running of the site during night shifts.


• Coordinate subcontractors and oversee site activities.


• Complete all site paperwork, records, permits, and daily reports.


• Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety checks.


• Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation and site-specific procedures.


• Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks.


• Review and implement RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).


• Monitor quality of works and manage snagging where required.


• Ensure all work areas are cleaned, secured, and handed back ready for occupation during daytime hours.


• Liaise with the client, project team, and building stakeholders throughout the project.
