Job summary

Think Recruitment is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee a fast-paced Hull commercial fit-out project. The role is hands-on, with responsibility for managing subcontractors, coordinating labour and ensuring safety and programme adherence.

Applicants should have shopfitting or retail/commercial fit-out experience, a joinery background is a plus, and hold SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.

We're recruiting for a well-established shopfitting and commercial fit out contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality retail refurbishments and interior fit out projects across the UK. Due to a new project in Hull, they're looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee a fast-paced fit out from start to finish.

This is a hands-on role. They're looking for someone who's happy to manage the site but also isn't afraid to jump on the tools when needed to help keep the project on programme.

The Role

• Managing the day-to-day running of a commercial fit out project in Hull.
• Coordinating subcontractors and direct labour.
• Ensuring works are completed safely, on time and to a high standard.
• Liaising with the Contracts Manager, client and suppliers.
• Completing site paperwork, inductions and health & safety documentation.
• Helping out on the tools when required to keep the programme on track.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience managing shopfitting, retail or commercial fit out projects.
• A joinery background would be highly advantageous.
• Hands-on approach and willing to muck in when needed.
