Job description

Site Manager - Guildford, Surrey

Rate: £250 - £300 per day (Dependent on experience)

Hours: 07:30 - 17:00 (9.5 hours per day)

Duration: 12 Months

Our client, a leading multidisciplinary main contractor specialising in construction and civil engineering projects across the UK, is currently seeking a Site Manager to join their team on a busy site in Guildford, off-site Highways works. As a Site Manager, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

1. Overseeing and managing day-to-day site operations
2. Ensuring works are carried out safely, on time, and to the required quality standards
3. Coordinating with subcontractors, engineers, and local authorities to ensure smooth site activity
4. Monitoring and enforcing health & safety regulations and company procedures
5. Maintaining accurate site records, reports, and progress updates
6. Liaising with project managers and clients, reporting any delays or issues

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager in civil engineering or highways projects
• Streetworks (NRSWA) certification - essential
• EUSR (Energy & Utility Skills Register) categories 3 & 4 - essential
• CSCS card - essential
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
• Full UK driving licence
