Freelance Site Manager – Commercial Strip-Out & Demolition – West Malling

Start Date: ASAP

Rate: £220–£265 per day

Location: West Malling

Project: Office strip-out with structural demolition

We're looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to take the lead on a commercial office strip-out project involving demolition works in West Malling. This is a fast-paced role requiring a strong command of health & safety compliance, particularly around structural works and live environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage all day-to-day site activity on a live commercial strip-out and demolition project
2. Coordinate demolition crews and subcontractors; oversee sequencing and site logistics
3. Ensure strict health & safety compliance (RAMS, inductions, toolbox talks)
4. Liaise with the client team, consultants, and internal stakeholders
5. Maintain site records, monitor risks, and implement safety procedures
6. Drive programme and ensure safe and timely delivery of works

Key Requirements:

1. SMSTS & First Aid (essential)
2. Proven experience managing demolition and internal strip-out projects
3. Excellent knowledge of CDM regulations and HSE site protocols
4. Strong communication and leadership skills
5. Ability to work independently and maintain strict safety control on site
