St Michael’s CE Primary School is seeking a dedicated Site Manager to maintain a safe, welcoming and well‑kept environment for children, staff and families. The role covers general maintenance, health and safety, and security duties in a busy school setting. DBS checks and safeguarding commitment are required.

Salary: Grade 4, £20,230 - £21,212 per annum. £13.69 - £14.36 per hour

30 hours per week, term time working 40 weeks per year

The Governors of St Michael's CE Primary School are looking to appoint a dedicated, reliable and enthusiastic Site Manager to join our friendly and caring school team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who takes pride in creating a safe, welcoming and well-maintained environment in which our children, staff and families can thrive.

We are looking for someone who:

Is reliable, responsible and takes pride in their work.

Has a practical, hands‑on approach and is able to undertake general maintenance and minor repairs.

Can identify and respond appropriately to health and safety, security and maintenance issues.

Is well organised and able to work independently, using their own initiative.

Has good communication skills and is able to work positively with staff, contractors, visitors and the wider school community.

Is committed to maintaining high standards across the school site and grounds.

Has a flexible and positive approach to the varied demands of a busy school environment.

Understands the importance of safeguarding, health and safety and maintaining a secure school environment.

Previous experience of working in a school or similar environment would be desirable, although we would welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate the practical skills, reliability and commitment required for the role.

Hours: 30 hours per week, term‑time plus 5 weeks

Working pattern: Split shift 7.00am9.00am and 2.30pm6.30pm

Start date: January 2027
