Job summary

JAM in Exeter is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor for a Ground Mount Solar Farm project. The role commands a £400 day rate and requires 3-5+ years in site supervision, with proven experience on ground-mounted solar installations.

You will manage subcontractors, maintain HSQE/CDM standards, read technical drawings, and report progress daily and weekly. The position demands strong communication with subcontractors, suppliers and Project Managers, with the ability to identify risks and drive

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years' experience in site supervision or site management.
• Ground Mount Solar Farm experience essential.
• Experience managing subcontractors and site activities.
• Strong understanding of HSQE and CDM requirements.
• SMSTS essential.
• Able to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience carrying out site inspections, quality checks and snagging.
• Confident delivering toolbox talks and site briefings.
• Able to produce daily and weekly progress reports.
• Strong communication with subcontractors, suppliers, clients and Project Managers.
• Ability to identify and manage site risks, delays and issues.
• IOSH / NEBOSH desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate ground mount solar site activities on a major Exeter project.
• Deliver toolbox talks and site briefings to subcontractors and crews.
• Read drawings and specifications to ensure compliance and quality.
• Produce daily and weekly progress reports for PMs and clients.
