Job summary

Tech-People are seeking an experienced SMSTS Site Manager for an NHS healthcare refurbishment project in Ilford. The role covers day-to-day site management, safety compliance and coordination of M&E works with subcontractors.

40 hours per week (Mon-Fri) with potential overtime; parking on site. Experience with Principal Contractors and air source heat pump installations is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• SMSTS - essential.
• Asbestos Awareness.
• Working at Heights.
• Basic DBS check required.
• Mechanical qualification or time-served mechanical background.
• Experience with Principal Contractor.
• NHS/healthcare refurbishment experience advantageous.
• Air Source Heat Pump installation experience highly desirable.
• Strong general construction and M&E knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site activities and ensure works are completed safely and to programme.
• Coordinate subcontractors and manage site teams.
• Oversee construction and M&E works.
• Monitor quality, progress and health & safety.
• Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks and regular site inspections.
• Liaise with the Principal Contractor, client and project team.
• Manage deliveries, materials and site logistics.
• Ensure all site documentation and records are kept up to date.
• Identify and resolve site issues promptly.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications and project requirements.

We are looking for an experienced SMSTS Site Manager with a strong general construction and M&E background for an NHS healthcare refurbishment project in Ilford.

• Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

• Weekend/night work: Flexibility required
