Job summary

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Civil Site Manager to oversee day-to-day operations on clean water and wastewater schemes in the South West. This long-term CIS contract offers a September start and the opportunity to lead a team of 3–8 operatives with support from a General Foreman and Site Engineer.

Dorset / Somerset | CIS Day Rate | Long-Term Contract | September Start

An established principal contractor delivering a significant programme of clean and wastewater infrastructure works across the South West is looking for an experienced Civils Site Manager to join the team on a long-term contract.

If you're looking for a stable contract on a major AMP8 programme with a strong pipeline of work, this is an excellent opportunity.

What you'll be doing:

• Managing day-to-day site operations on clean water and wastewater schemes.
• Leading site teams of approximately 3-8 operatives with support from a General Foreman and Site Engineer.
• Driving health, safety and quality standards on site.
• Coordinating subcontractors, plant and materials.
• Ensuring programmes are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification.
• Working closely with project delivery teams and client representatives.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering civil engineering projects within the UK water sector.
• Strong understanding of both clean water (potable) and wastewater infrastructure.
• CSCS Black Card
• Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC)
• Appointed Person (Lifting Operations)
• National Water Hygiene (Blue Card)
• Competent with Microsoft Office and digital site reporting systems.
• Excellent health & safety record and leadership skills.
