Job description

Who We Are: Cardo Group is a social housing property maintenance company. Our multi-company group specializes in maintenance, compliance, and retrofit services with a growing national footprint. With ambitious plans for further expansion, we are committed to making a lasting impact in the industry.

We are currently looking for a Site Manager to join our team covering the Kent area. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for providing an excellent, safe, effective, and efficient service in the delivery of various projects and programs across our contracts, ensuring all works meet high-quality standards expected by our clients in an efficient and value-for-money manner.

You will act as the company's representative to clients and residents, facilitating effective communication between all parties. Building and maintaining strong relationships through honesty and transparency is essential.

Core responsibilities involve:
  1. Working closely with contractors and suppliers to complete projects within budget and timeframe.
  2. Ensuring all work aligns with the programme of works while observing health & safety standards.
  3. Complying with Building Control and all statutory and mandatory regulations and legislation, including best practices.
  4. Working according to drawings and specifications.
  5. Representing the business professionally in internal and client meetings.
  6. Generating, reviewing, and achieving programme performance.
  7. Using ICT systems proficiently, understanding regulations, legislation, H&S, and tenant laws.
  8. Adapting and supporting other departmental work streams for team collaboration.
  9. Engaging residents in the process and keeping them informed.
  10. Developing relationships with residents, operatives, subcontractors, clients, building control, and fire authorities.
  11. Acting as the face of Cardo Group and supporting resident consultation and engagement.
  12. Encouraging positive relationships and ensuring follow-up actions.
  13. Ensuring works meet PAS2030/MCS requirements.
  14. Communicating progress clearly and concisely in technical and simple terms.
  15. Handling resident complaints and sharing lessons learned.
  16. Negotiating professionally and respectfully.
  17. Maintaining documentation according to procedures.
  18. Controlling project plans, risks, programs, and quality.
  19. Promoting good project governance.
  20. Working within team targets and liaising with project coordinators for compliance.
Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of site management experience.
  • Knowledge of social housing sector, planned works, and maintenance projects.
  • Experience in refurbishment projects.
  • Understanding of section 20 leaseholder consultation and housing legislation.
  • Experience communicating with supply chain, clients, residents, and staff.
  • Proven success in resolving complaints.
Qualifications:
  • Valid SMSTS qualification.
  • CSCS card in site management.
  • Building/trade qualification.
  • Asbestos Awareness Certification.
  • Current valid driving license.
  • Qualifications or experience in Fire Assessment surveying and remedial works.
