Job summary

Wates is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead a fast-paced programme of social housing retrofit and planned maintenance across the Ipswich region. You will manage multiple sites, coordinate subcontractors and ensure safety, quality and customer satisfaction.

You will work with Resident Liaison Officers to minimise disruption, monitor progress, and drive programme delivery while maintaining site records and compliance. DBS checks apply due to site access in occupied properties.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Site Manager is essential.
• Experience delivering planned maintenance, refurbishment or retrofit projects.
• Social housing experience would be highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and site compliance requirements.
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations across multiple planned maintenance and retrofit projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, direct labour and material deliveries to ensure programme targets are achieved.
• Monitor health and safety compliance and maintain high site standards at all times.
• Carry out quality inspections and ensure works are completed in line with specifications and client requirements.
• Work closely with Resident Liaison Officers to minimise disruption and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management.
• Ensure productivity, programme delivery and budget objectives are met.
• Maintain accurate site records, reports and project documentation.
