Overview

Job Title: Site Manager

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Cambridge

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: c£50k-£60k basic plus competitive package including car or allowance, healthcare, pension, and bonus.

Company & Project: An award-winning Cambridgeshire-based Main Contractor seeking to recruit a talented Site Manager to join their business on a major c£100m project in central Cambridge. The business works across Healthcare, Commercial and Mixed-Use sectors and aims to grow the Construction Delivery team on this project. The company is recognised for its employee focus and long-term stable history, with many senior managers and employees having long tenures with the business.

Responsibilities

• Manage all site management functions across key packages on the project, including health & safety, short-term programming and progress monitoring for subcontractors, and delivering a quality build with low defects.
• Liaise with the client and long-term suppliers; act as a mentor to junior team members and ensure effective communication across the project.
• Provide leadership for packages valued over £5m, ensuring delivery on time and to required standards.

Desirable Experience

• Previously held a Site Manager or Package Manager position with a Main Contractor on projects around £20m+ in value.
• Proven track record of delivering sites on time and to a high standard of finish.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Previous roles: Assistant Site Manager, Construction Manager, Site Manager, Senior Site Manager, or Package Manager.

Qualifications & Skills

Degree in Construction Management, NVQ Level 6 or above, or another comparable qualification/trade background and associated qualification. CSCS Card Essential.
