Job summary

RTL Group has a national civil engineering contract for a major HS2 scheme in Brackley. We are seeking an experienced Site Manager with strong heavy civils background to deliver drainage and structural works and manage subcontractors on a major infrastructure project.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in HV civils, RAMS, and health and safety compliance, with SMSTS and CSCS Black/Gold credentials. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• RAMS and site documentation management.
• H&S compliance and safe work practices.
• Experience managing drainage and structural works on civils projects.
• Ability to liaison with clients, stakeholders and subcontractors.
• IT literate and able to manage programme documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead toolbox talks and site briefings.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to manage expectations.
• Ensure H&S compliance and RAMS are in place.
• Order materials and manage day-to-day site operations.
• Supervise subcontractors and site teams on drainage/structural works.
• Ensure works are delivered on programme and to spec.
• Oversee quality control and as-built records.
• Support Project Manager with reporting and delivery.

My client are a national civil engineering contractor who are currently seeking a Site Manager to help deliver a major HS2 scheme in Brackley, with an immediate start available. The role will focus on drainage and structures, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager with a strong heavy civils background.

Site Manager Responsibilities

• Toolbox talks

• Managing day-to-day site operations
• Supervising subcontractors and site teams
• Managing the delivery of drainage and structural works
• Overseeing reinforced concrete and associated civils works
• Ensuring works are delivered on programme and to specification
• Managing RAMS, permits and site documentation
• Overseeing quality control, inspections and as-built records
• Supporting the Project Manager with programme delivery and reporting
• Black or Gold CSCS
• SMSTS
• Previous experience managing major infrastructure or heavy civil engineering projects
• Experience delivering drainage and structures is essential
• Previous HS2 experience would be advantageous
• Strong civils background
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
• Good understanding of RAMS, health and safety and quality requirements
• IT literate
• Full UK driving licence
