Job summary

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting a Site Manager to work on a Major Infrastructure project in Blyth. The role involves leading the site from setup to handover, maintaining programmes, and coordinating with senior management and the client.

The position expects SMSTS, Temporary Works, Appointed Person and First Aid qualifications, with a background in foundations/RC works and heavy civils. Initial contract around 2 years with potential extension; freelance rate up to £400/day also offered.

Qualifications

• Experience managing projects from cradle to grave.
• Detailed experience with: Foundations, RC Works, Heavy Civils
• SMSTS, Temporary Works, Appointed Person, First Aid.

The company have secured an initial contract of 2 years, with the view to extend to 10 as the scheme progresses.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Full management of site, reporting to and liaising with a Contracts Manager & Construction Director.
• Leading projects from early site setup through to handover.
• Ensure programmes are reviewed and updated.
• Completing daily site diaries.
• Ordering materials for site.
• Ensure RAMS are written and updated.
• Progress meetings with senior management and client.
• Overseeing direct delivery teams and sub-contractors.

Experience required:

Must have:

• Experience working as Site Agent or Site Manager.
• Experience managing projects from cradle to grave.
• Detailed experience with: Foundations, RC Works, Heavy Civils
• SMSTS, Temporary Works, Appointed Person, First Aid.

Nice to have:

• Engineering background, working from Site Engineer to Site Agent.
• Degree qualified or HNC/HND qualified within civil engineering.

Remuneration:

On offer is a salary up to £70,000 (depending on experience) plus package. Or a freelance rate up to £400 per day
