Job summary

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting a Site Manager for a leading civil engineering contractor to work on Roads & Sewer projects in Northumberland. You will lead projects from early site setup through to handover, manage programmes, and coordinate delivery teams.

The role requires SMSTS, Temporary Works, Appointed Person and First Aid; experience as Site Agent/Manager and delivery of road/sewer works is essential. Salary up to £55,000 plus package for a permanent role with Elvet Recruitment Limited.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Manager or Site Agent managing projects cradle-to-grave.
• Detailed experience with Roads, Sewers, S278 works, Foundations, Kerbing and Drainage.
• Must have SMSTS, Temporary Works, Appointed Person and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Full management of site, reporting to Contracts Manager & Construction Director.
• Lead projects from early site setup through to handover.
• Ensure programmes are reviewed and updated; maintain daily site diaries.
• Order materials for site; ensure RAMS are written and updated.
• Run progress meetings with senior management and client; oversee direct delivery teams and sub-contractors.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Full management of site, reporting to and liaising with a Contracts Manager & Construction Director.
• Leading projects from early site setup through to handover.
• Ensure programmes are reviewed and updated.
• Completing daily site diaries.
• Ordering materials for site.
• Ensure RAMS are written and updated.
• Progress meetings with senior management and client.
• Overseeing direct delivery teams and sub-contractors.

Experience required

Must have

• Experience working as Site Agent or Site Manager.
• Experience managing projects from cradle to grave.
• Detailed experience with: Roads, Sewers, S278 works, Foundations, Kerbing and Drainage
• SMSTS, Temporary Works, Appointed Person, First Aid.

Nice to have

• Engineering background, working from Site Engineer to Site Agent.
• Degree qualified or HNC/HND qualified within civil engineering.

Remuneration

A salary of up to £55,000 (dependant upon experience) + Package
