We are looking for a Site Manager to join our Transportation team based in Birmingham. As Site Manager, you will support the management of construction sites, ensuring project delivery aligns with customer objectives while maintaining health and safety, quality, environmental standards, and cost control. You will work closely with the Senior Construction Manager, designers, subcontractors, and the Programme Manager to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee the successful delivery of projects within the Birmingham area in the surfacing sector.
2. Ensure work is delivered to the specified quality standards without defects.
3. Lead site supervisors and subcontractors, ensuring safety and environmental standards are met, and develop project plans and safe systems of work.
4. Maximize commercial performance by working with the Programme Manager to mitigate delays and control costs.
5. Coordinate procurement schedules and ensure sufficient resources are available on site.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience managing county council and urban projects involving carriageways and footways, in a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of specifications, testing regimes, and relevant safety certifications (CSCS, SMSTS, IOSH).
• Experience managing subcontractors and working within contractual and regulatory frameworks, including CDM regulations.
