Job summary

Hayesfield Girls' School in Bath is seeking a dedicated Site Manager to lead the site team and support the senior leadership and estates teams. You will oversee maintenance, safety, security, and capital projects to ensure the school is well-presented for staff, students and visitors.

The role requires experience in facilities management, staff supervision, and strong knowledge of health and safety. NEBOSH or IOSH qualification is preferred, with ICT skills and a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

  • Experience supervising staff and third‑party contractors.
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements and legal compliance.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
  • Good ICT skills and a valid driving licence.
  • Experience in education environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Hold regular operational meetings with the Business Manager and Head of Estates.
  • Prepare and monitor planned and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Provide guidance to the site teams to meet health and safety and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Ensure that security arrangements are in place.
  • Oversee the creation of accurate inventory for the physical building assets of the school.
  • Project manage capital projects and advise on progress.
  • Conduct performance management of site staff.
  • Ensure safe systems of work and risk assessments are in place.
  • Ensure maintenance of water hygiene records, fire safety records, and electrical safety records.
  • Ensure all COSHH and Health and Safety regulations are observed.
  • Ensure that the site is clean and well-kept at all times.
