Job summary

EDF Nuclear Operations is seeking a qualified Station Management Accountant for Heysham 2 Power Station to provide trusted financial insight and support leadership in achieving our financial and operational objectives. This site-based role requires on-site work 3–4 days a week, collaborating with colleagues across finance and operations to deliver monthly accounts, stock checks and performance reporting.

Qualifications

• ICAEW/ICAS/CIMA/ACCA professional qualifications required.
• Experience in a highly regulated environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
• High numeracy and analytical capability with IT tools.
• Proven ability to build relationships across multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor performance against budget and explain variances; ensure monthly accounts accuracy.
• Develop and distribute monthly financial reports for budget holders.
• Provide information for quarterly audits, including accruals and control assessments.
• Complete monthly stock certificates and verify stock values via governance checks.
• Identify risks, opportunities, and performance trends; recommend mitigations.
• Monitor project and portfolio performance with forecasting and variance commentary.
