Job summary

EDF Energy at Heysham 2 Power Station is seeking a Station Management Accountant to provide trusted financial insight and support leadership decisions. You’ll work on-site most of the week and partner with finance and operations to drive performance and governance.

Qualified accountant with strong analytical skills and stakeholder management will thrive in this regulated environment, contributing to monthly reporting and risk management.

Qualifications

• Qualified Management Accountant with ICAEW/ICAS/CIMA/ACCA.
• Experience in a highly regulated environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
• High numeracy and analytical capability with financial/IT tools.
• Proven ability to build relationships across functions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor performance against budget and explain variances with evidenced accuracy.
• Develop and distribute monthly financial reports to budget holders.
• Provide information for quarterly audits, including accrual substantiations.
• Complete monthly stock certificates and ensure accurate stock values.
• Identify risks/opportunities and recommend mitigations.
• Monitor project performance with planning, forecasting and commentary.
