Job summary

Bowmay Consulting is working with a well-established client to recruit a Multiskilled Engineer. You’ll work across a varied range of equipment, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding and root cause analysis to improve reliability. You'll also participate in improvement projects, upgrades and commissioning of new machinery.

The role offers training and development opportunities, and a cycle-to-work scheme. You’ll operate on a rotating shift pattern, days and nights.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification such as HNC, HND, BTEC or equivalent.
• Experience in an industrial or engineering environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Excellent root cause analysis and problem-solving abilities to identify underlying causes.
• Experience using CMMS, SAP and Microsoft Office including Excel.
• Ability to work a rotating shift pattern (days/nights).

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs across a varied range of machinery.
• Respond to mechanical and electrical breakdowns, diagnose faults and repair quickly and safely.
• Use fault-finding and root cause analysis to identify recurring issues and improve reliability.
• Get involved in improvement projects, equipment upgrades, installations and commissioning.
• Contribute to improving maintenance standards, equipment availability and plant performance.

About You

• Engineering qualification such as HNC, HND, BTEC or equivalent


• Previous experience working within an industrial or engineering environment


• You will have strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
