Job summary

PE Global is recruiting on behalf of a leading global engineering and technology organisation for an experienced Site Logistics Coordinator to support a major construction and commissioning project based in Peterhead, Scotland. This role focuses on safe, efficient handling of materials, coordinating deliveries, storage, preservation and traceability across the site.

The contract runs for 12 months with a PAYE rate of £23.72 per hour, and requires a proactive, detail‑oriented logistics

Qualifications

• Experience in transport logistics, warehouse operations or materials management.
• Experience coordinating deliveries and maintaining material documentation.
• Strong understanding of safe material handling and preservation practices.
• Structured, organised and detail‑oriented with good communication and collaboration.
• Proactive in identifying delivery issues and project risks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate receipt, unloading, storage and traceability of materials and equipment on site.
• Plan delivery schedules with supply chain, transport, subcontractors and site personnel.
• Monitor deliveries, POs and ETA dates; flag delays or shortages.
• Ensure unloading areas, transport and lifting equipment are available.
• Verify packing lists and inspect deliveries; initiate quality claims as needed.
• Maintain delivery records, inventory, shipping docs and handover paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with site HSE during material handling and storage.
• Develop preservation plans and document storage conditions.
• Monitor quality claims and arrange replacements; close resolved claims.
• Assist equipment maintenance planning and records for the project.
• Manage project spare parts, segregation and handover documentation.
• Identify surplus materials and coordinate reuse or disposal with stakeholders.
• Maintain housekeeping in storage areas and safe operation of equipment.
• Prepare risk assessments and method statements for handling activities.
• Supervise storage and material-handling personnel and ensure training.
• Attend site meetings and update management on progress and risks.
