Job summary

Clear. in Blyth is seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor to oversee day-to-day logistics on our data centre and mission-critical infrastructure projects.

You will manage deliveries, storage, site coordination with subcontractors and site management, promote safe working practices, and supervise operatives while maintaining an organised, efficient site operation. A background in construction logistics and strong leadership, communication and health & safety knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics or site supervision within construction.
• At least 1 year in a similar role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of delivery coordination, material handling and storage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the site compound, including storage areas and material allocation.

We’re looking for an experienced Logistics Supervisor to join a growing team delivering large-scale data centre and mission-critical infrastructure projects in Blyth.

This is a site-based role where you’ll oversee day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring materials, deliveries, storage areas and site personnel are coordinated safely and efficiently. Working closely with subcontractors, suppliers and site management teams, you’ll play a key role in keeping the project organised, minimising disruption and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the site compound, including storage areas and material allocation.
• Schedule and coordinate deliveries to ensure materials arrive safely and on time.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers regarding delivery requirements, access arrangements and off-site storage.
• Attend pre-start meetings to communicate site logistics procedures, storage limitations and delivery booking processes.
• Promote a just-in-time delivery approach to minimise congestion and maximise available storage space.
• Ensure loading and unloading activities are carried out safely within designated areas.
• Prevent congestion and obstructions on site access roads.
• Supervise site operatives, ensuring health and safety procedures and expected working standards are maintained.
• Monitor labour allocation, maintain records and prepare work reports.
• Support the wider project team in maintaining an organised and efficient site operation.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a logistics or site supervision role, ideally within construction.
• A minimum of one year’s experience in a similar position.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience managing operatives or site teams.
• Practical knowledge of delivery coordination, material handling, storage management and subcontractor liaison.
• A good understanding of construction site health and safety requirements.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• A third-level qualification in engineering or construction would be advantageous, although a strong trades background will also be considered.
