Job summary

Personnel Selection Recruitment is seeking a Delivery Driver and Fitter for a furniture supplier in Andover, Hampshire. The role combines on-road delivery with hands-on fitting of goods, requiring use of hand and power tools and strong attention to paperwork and safety.

You will represent the client professionally, drive up to 3.5 tonnes, and be flexible with start times during busy periods. Some UK travel and occasional away-from-home assignments are expected.

Qualifications

• Full, clean UK driving licence. - Able to drive up to 3.5 tonne (Luton Van)
• Previous experience in multi-drop delivery runs
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Friendly, presentable and professional demeanour
• Able to work in environments dealing with large goods deliveries
• Ability to accurately complete any paperwork / delivery notes for the customer
• Happy to be bending, kneeling and lifting when installing goods
• Ability to travel and sometimes stay away on installs all over the UK

Responsibilities

• Represent our client face to face with customers
• Deliver and fit furniture products on site
• Work on a 40 hour week with potential for long weeks during busy periods
• Maintain a clean loading bay and company vehicle
• Ensure paperwork and delivery notes are accurate and complete
• Wear the company uniform and present a professional image

Personnel Selection Recruitment is helping secure a Multi-drop Delivery Driver / Fitter for one of our long term established clients based within Andover, Hampshire.

Job Function

As the Delivery Driver and Fitter of our clients prestigious furniture products, you will be representing our clients company "face to face" with their customers. This is a great opportunity for someone to get out on the road and also work “hands on” with tools. This is a day shift Monday to Friday position and based on a standard 40 hour week at £13.37ph. However, our client often has extremely busy periods where you could be away from home, working long hourly weeks so you will need to be prepared to be flexible with your start times and finish times during these spells. Any hours worked over 8 in a day will be paid at time and half of £20.06ph.

Skills and Requirements

• Ensuring that the outgoing goods loading bay is kept clean and tidy.
• Always act in a professional manner when wearing the companies uniform.
• Ensuring that the vans are always kept clean and tidy.
• Making sure the company vehicle you are using is road worthy, reporting any issues.
• Ensuring that the toolboxes, spares etc. are not missing anything.
