Job summary

Flexible People Ltd is recruiting 7.5t home delivery drivers for a major client in Rochester. You will work with a Driver’s Mate to deliver televisions, furniture and white goods to residential properties. You must be physically fit and ready to undertake a driving assessment, highway code and tachograph tests.

The client operates seven days a week with a 5–6 day weekly rota, including weekends. Shifts start at 06:00 and last 8–11 hours, with overtime after 48 hours.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit due to heavy goods handling.
• Must hold a valid UK driving license and CPC qualification.
• Must be able to pass a driving assessment and highway code/tacho exam.

Responsibilities

• Deliver large items to residential properties with a Driver’s Mate.
• Work a 5–6 day weekly rota, including weekends, from 06:00 start with 8–11 hour shifts.
• Adhere to safety, PPE, and company procedures during deliveries.

Job description

Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting 7.5t home delivery drivers for a well known client of ours, based in Rochester.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a multi-national organization, with the potential for growth and opportunities.

This role involves working with a Drivers Mate to deliver large goods to residential properties. The type of goods you will be delivering are TV's, flat pack furniture, gym equipment, white goods etc.

Due to the weight of the products you are delivering you MUST be physically fit.

The company offer the customer a 'room of choice' delivery, you will be fully trained on how to do this.

Upon successful application, all new drivers are subject to a driving assessment and multiple choice highway code/tacho exam. This will then be followed the next day with a subsequent induction day.

The client operate seven days a week, you will receive a weekly rota of 5-6 shifts a week. WEEKEND WORK IS INVOLVED AND WILL BE EXPECTED OF YOU! Please only apply if you can work weekends, as well as weekdays.

Shift timings are 06.00 start, shifts last roughly 8-11 hours.

Pay rate - £20.43 per hour (inclusive of holiday). There is an overtime rate of £22.97 per hour (applicable after 48 hours in the working week).

After 12 weeks, you can be offered a contract directly with the company. Once you become a full time member of staff, you will be entitled to an award-winning range of benefits including-

Our client will happily accept newly qualified drivers.

Please note that drug tests can be carried out at anytime, at the clients discretion. A drug test will also be carried out at assessment.

You must have a valid UK License, CPC and Digitacho, no more than 6 points on your driving license. No DD, DR or NI convictions.
