Job summary

TXM Recruit is hiring a Site Installation Manager in the UK to oversee the installation of fast-paced automated intralogistic systems. The role involves significant UK travel and potential overnight stays depending on project location.

You will be responsible for Health & Safety on site, managing on-site personnel and subcontractors, and coordinating day-to-day project activities with the Project Manager.

Qualifications

• SMSTS qualification or equivalent.
• Experience installing Material Handling Systems is essential.
• Minimum 3 years in a similar role.

Position: Site Installation Manager

Location: UK

Salary: £50,000 - £58,000

TXM Recruit is partnering with a prominent automation and intralogistics company to hire an experienced Site Installation Manager to oversee the installation of fast-paced automated intralogstic systems. This role will a lot of UK travel and staying over depending on where the project is in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for management of Health & Safety on site
• Managing on site personnel and subcontractors on a day-to-day basis. Local programme management in conjunction with the Project Manager
• Maintaining the relevant site H&S procedures and documentation
• Management of the general day-to-day running of the project
• Carrying out regular safety audits and checks
• Organisation and coordination of material and plant deliveries arriving on site and coordination of their return
• General office tasks (minutes of essential site meetings, documentation and management of agreed open issues)
• Administration of apartments for installation teams (hand-over of keys, documentation of occupancy etc. if required)

Skills, qualifications and experience

• Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification or equivalent,
• Systematic approach to dealing with problems and issues
• Excellent interpersonal and client management skills
• Ability to organise both day-to-day tasks and prepare for future tasks as detailed in the project programme
• An understanding of the installation of Material Handling Systems is essential
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Report production (internal and client progress reports)
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
