Job summary
CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Site-based Air Conditioning Engineer in Gateshead to maintain, service, and troubleshoot a range of HVAC systems. The role offers a day shift and an on-call rota, with opportunities for training and progression within a national facilities management organisation.
You will work on site in Gateshead, ensuring reliable operation of air conditioning equipment, performing routine maintenance, diagnosing faults, and collaborating with the maintenance team
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer within facilities management
- F-Gas Cat 1 Regulations certification held
- Strong knowledge of HVAC installation, maintenance and repair
Responsibilities
- Maintain, service and troubleshoot air conditioning systems including split, VRV/VRF and chillers
- Perform routine maintenance such as coil cleaning and filter replacement
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime
- Conduct inspections of HVAC systems and recommend improvements
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel and contractors for complex repairs
- Follow safety protocols and industry regulations
