Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Engineer for a site-based role in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear. You will maintain, service and troubleshoot a range of HVAC systems, including split, VRV/VRF and chillers, ensuring optimal performance and client satisfaction.

The role involves routine maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs, with on-call rota and clear safety guidelines. On-site work requires independence and strong teamwork in a facilities management setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer in facilities management.
• Hold F-Gas Cat 1 Regulations certification.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC installation, maintenance and repair.
• Familiarity with refrigeration principles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and troubleshoot various air conditioning systems including split, VRV/VRF and chillers.
• Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning coils and replacing filters.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime.
• Inspect HVAC systems and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Coordinate repairs with other maintenance staff and contractors.
• Follow safety protocols and industry regulations.

Site based Air Conditioning Engineer - Gateshead - National Facilities Management Organisation: FMCG

CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Engineer to join our client’s team of facilities management professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC maintenance and repair, responsible for maintaining and servicing air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and end-client satisfaction.

This is a site based opportunity, located in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.

Package:

• Salary of up to £48,000 per annum
• Day shift: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30
• Back shift: Monday to Thursday, 13:30 - 21:30, and Friday, 10:00 - 18:30
• On-call rota of 1 in 5 weeks
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, service and troubleshoot a variety of air conditioning systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF systems, and chillers
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, moving parts, to prolong the lifespan of HVAC equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in air conditioning units, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency
• Conduct inspections and assessments of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate solutions
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate complex repairs and system upgrades
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to promote a safe working environment

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer or similar role within the facilities management industry
• Hold your F-Gas Cat 1 Regulations certification
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair techniques
• Familiarity with refrigeration principles and equipment
• Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
