Job summary

HR Recruit is partnering with an established industrial organisation to recruit a Senior HR Business Partner to lead the HR strategy for the Whitburn site in Scotland. You will report to the HR Director and work with a small team to align HR activities with business goals.

Key focus areas include workforce planning, improving retention, strengthening engagement and ensuring compliance with employment law. You will partner with the SLT, coach managers, and manage payroll data and HR

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a trusted HR business partner driving commercial outcomes.
• Strong ability to manage complex employee relations including investigations and tribunals.
• Excellent data literacy with ability to translate KPIs into practical actions.
• Experience leading multi-site HR projects (compensation & benefits, policies).
• Adaptable, with a proactive problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the annual HR plan for the Whitburn site with senior sponsor.
• Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, hearings and appeals.
• Ensure timely completion and accuracy of monthly HR KPIs and reports.
• Support absence management initiatives and payroll accuracy across sites.
• Provide strategic HR business partnering to the SLT and site leadership.
• Coach managers on policy adherence and HR processes.
• Oversee HR administration in collaboration with HRSS and Payroll.
• Lead and develop the site HR team and direct report.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives to build a positive culture.
