Job summary

Macmillan Davies are partnering with a growing manufacturing business to recruit an experienced HR Officer for their Warrington site. You will be the first point of contact for day-to-day HR matters and will own HR at site level while supported by a wider HR team.

This broad generalist role covers employee relations, absence, recruitment, engagement, performance and HR systems, with opportunity to grow the remit over time.

Qualifications

• Experience as HR generalist at officer/advisor level.
• Strong employee relations experience handling disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance issues.
• Solid knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience in manufacturing or fast-paced operations.
• CIPD qualification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as key HR contact for Warrington site.
• Provide advice on HR policy, employment law and best practice.
• Manage employee relations including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance issues.
• Lead attendance management and return-to-work processes.
• Build relationships with managers and provide commercially focused advice.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and induction at the site.
• Contribute to engagement, retention and talent initiatives.
• Maintain HR systems, records and data; produce KPIs and reports.
• Review HR policies to stay compliant and aligned with business needs.
• Collaborate with Finance and Payroll; support HR systems development.
