Job summary

Search Consultancy Ltd in Liverpool is seeking an experienced General Foreman to oversee civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the Liverpool area. You will manage site operations, supervise multiple gangs, and ensure delivery against the programme while maintaining strict safety standards.

The role requires a hands-on leader with a proven track record in civils, drainage, highways and RC works; you will coordinate labour, plant and materials, read drawings, and mentor junior

Qualifications

Proven experience as a General Foreman in civil engineering or construction.
Strong background in drainage, highways, earthworks, RC, water, and civils.
Excellent HSQE understanding and safety leadership.

Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day site activities across civils works.
Lead gangs, subcontractors, and operatives to deliver safely and on time.
Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and site briefings.
Ensure RAMS compliance for works.
Monitor HSQE standards and promote safety culture.
Read and interpret drawings, specs, and programmes.
Coordinate labour, plant, equipment and materials.
Maintain accurate site records and reports.
Identify and implement solutions to keep programme on track.
Mentor junior supervisors and operatives.
