Job summary

Ontic is seeking a Financial Controller to lead the financial accounting and control activities at Bishops Cleeve site. You will own the month-end close, maintain balance sheet integrity and ensure timely, accurate reporting in line with policy while supporting the business as it grows.

You will coordinate external audits, manage VAT, fixed assets and insurance data, and develop a robust control environment.

Qualifications

• A recognised professional accounting qualification such as ACCA or CIMA.
• Strong financial accounting, reporting and control experience.
• Experience of US GAAP would be advantageous.
• Strong systems capability with advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the financial accounting and control processes for the Bishops Cleeve site.
• Oversee month-end close, journals, balance sheet reconciliations and controls.
• Coordinate external audits and provide complete audit trails.
• Manage VAT, fixed assets and insurance data requirements.
• Develop and maintain a robust financial control environment as the business grows.
