Job summary

Bristol Academy South is seeking a Site Officer to provide essential operational support, ensuring the academy remains safe, secure, welcoming and well maintained. You will oversee security, lighting, heating systems, cleaning and general maintenance to support pupils and staff.

The role requires a range of caretaking duties, with a pay range of NJC SCP 12-17 (£29,542–£32,046) for full-time permanent employment. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites are required.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent are required.
• IOSH or recognised Health and Safety qualification is required.
• Experience of caretaking and cleaning duties is essential.
• Hold a full, valid UK driving licence and be willing to travel between academy sites within the region.

Responsibilities

• Complete statutory and routine testing as required, ensuring records are up to date using appropriate software.
• Maintain security across academy premises, including alarm systems and liaison with security services.
