Job summary

Allerton Bishop is partnering with a global manufacturing organisation to appoint a Site Engineering Manager for one of its flagship UK production facilities. This pivotal leadership role oversees engineering, maintenance, utilities, facilities and capital projects to deliver world-class operational performance.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team of over 60 people, develop the site's long-term engineering strategy, and drive asset reliability, continuous improvement and sustainability

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven leadership of engineering and maintenance teams within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing CAPEX projects and engineering budgets.
• Strong knowledge of asset management, reliability and maintenance systems.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, TPM or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience implementing engineering improvements and operational excellence programmes.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, food, pharmaceutical or highly regulated manufacturing environments would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering, maintenance, utilities and facilities functions.
• Develop and execute the site's engineering and asset management strategy.
• Drive equipment reliability and maintenance excellence.
• Deliver capital investment and engineering projects.
• Improve operational efficiency through Lean, TPM and continuous improvement.
• Support sustainability initiatives including energy reduction and carbon footprint programmes.
• Develop high-performing technical teams and succession plans.
• Partner with global engineering and operational excellence functions to implement best practice across the site.
