Job summary

Pinnacle Recruitment are seeking a Site Engineer to join a growing delivery team working on AMP8 water and wastewater projects across Poole, Bournemouth and South Dorset. You’ll contribute to environmental improvements, flood defences, and nature-based solutions while collaborating with the site team.

The role requires CSCS and SSSTS, a Civil Engineering qualification, and a proactive, organised approach with strong communication.

Qualifications

• CSCS and SSSTS required.
• HNC or degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Understand civil engineering principles.
• Strong organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure company procedures are adopted for setting out operations and communicate information to operatives and subcontractors.
• Conduct site management and perform ‘as built’ surveys on completed works.
• Assist Site Manager with initial set-up, site procedures and safety standards across the project.
• Support site team in planning and monitoring output and maintaining safety standards.
• Assist the Site Manager and QS department by compiling data on resources and materials.

Pinnacle Recruitment are currently looking for a Site Engineer to join a growing delivery team working on major AMP8 water and wastewater projects across Poole, Bournemouth and South Dorset.

As an Engineer you’ll work on projects that make a real difference to the environment and our communities – from improving flood defences, to upgrading water treatment works and providing nature-based solutions that improve biodiversity

Duties:

• Ensuring standard company procedures are adopted in carrying out setting out operations as per the test and inspection, and that effective methods of communication are used in transmitting information to operatives and subcontractors
• Site Management and carrying out ‘as built’ surveys on completed works
• Assist the Site manager in the initial set-up, ensuring company systems and procedures are in place and implemented; supporting the Site Manager in maintaining and enforcing safety standards throughout the project; support the site team in planning and monitoring output
• Financial Control and ensuring company cost systems are kept up to date by logging material deliveries, managing and reviewing plant levels
• Assisting the Site manager and Quantity Surveying Department by compiling data to record resources utilised on each activity.

Requirements:

• CSCS and SSSTS
• HNC / Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
• Understand civil engineering principles and practices
• An understanding of methods, materials and technical aspects relevant to the project
• Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
• A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region
