Job summary

Pinnacle Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Site Manager – Water to join a major water infrastructure programme in Poole and the South Dorset area. You will manage day-to-day on-site delivery, lead multi-disciplinary teams and ensure safety, quality and programme targets are met.

The role requires experience in water/wastewater or civil engineering, strong leadership, and a solid understanding of RAMS and site safety. AMP delivery knowledge would be highly advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience leading on water/wastewater civil projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and leadership skills across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of RAMS, HSE and environmental controls on live sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities across water/wastewater schemes.
• Lead site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to deliver on programme.
• Ensure works comply with RAMS, quality standards and environmental controls.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, Site Engineers and quantity surveyors.
• Monitor progress, productivity and resource needs; escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with water industry standards.

Pinnacle Recruitment are looking for Site Managers to join a major water infrastructure programme in the Poole and South Dorset area, delivering a range of AMP8 schemes for a leading UK water company.

Working as part of an integrated design and build team, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of works on site, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Duties

• Manage the day-to-day construction activities across water and wastewater projects.
• Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and specialist suppliers.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with RAMS, programme requirements, quality standards and environmental controls.
• Coordinate site activities with the Project Manager, Site Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and wider delivery team.
• Monitor progress, productivity and resource requirements, escalating any issues that could impact programme or cost.
• Manage health, safety and environmental requirements, maintaining a strong safety culture across site.
• Ensure construction activities comply with relevant water industry standards, specifications and legislation.
• Review designs and construction information, identifying potential issues before and during delivery.
• Liaise with the client, designers, subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
• Manage site documentation, inspections, permits and quality records.
• Support commissioning, testing and successful project handover.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Site Manager / Site Agent within the water, wastewater or civil engineering sector.
• Strong experience managing construction activities on live sites.
• Good understanding of health & safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Experience managing subcontractors, site teams and multiple workstreams.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Relevant site management qualifications such as SMSTS.
• Water industry experience and knowledge of AMP delivery would be highly advantageous.
