Job Description:

The Site Engineer will be responsible for carrying out service and repairs to equipment on customer sites in a safe, professional, and cost-effective manner, maintaining documentation of all works in line with Health and Safety and Quality procedures.

The role involves working according to a planned schedule of service and maintenance jobs at our client’s premises.

Responsibilities include monitoring van stock, ensuring sufficient supplies for daily maintenance, conducting inspections to monitor safety, and accurately completing all relevant paperwork within required timescales.

The candidate must take responsibility for all equipment and tools, ensuring they are in safe condition, and work to strict schedules and deadlines.

Applicants should have knowledge in at least one of the following areas, with willingness to undertake additional training: mechanical engineering or electrical engineering.

The role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills, high standards, and time management skills.

Person Specification:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Proficient in fault finding and repair
  • GCSE grade C or above in English and maths
  • Experience with Health & Safety in workshop practice
  • Commitment to personal and professional development
  • Organizational skills, resourcefulness, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Negotiation and consultation skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability

  • Experience in forklift truck service (preferred but not essential)

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30, with a 30-minute lunch break.

Company Vehicle:

A company van and fuel card are provided, with optional private use (subject to tax regulations).

25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
